Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks a Materials Manager to lead material flow across production, maintenance, and aftermarket activities. You will manage a team, drive operational excellence, and implement best practices in warehousing, inventory control, and tooling management.

Responsibilities include partnering with business lines, guiding large-scale initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance and safety across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• 6 years experience in materials management, materials planning, warehousing, inventory control, Spare Parts sales administration or related operational roles to include 1 year experience managing professional level employees or program/process management; aviation or manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to business line leaders, ensuring materials operations are aligned with organizational objectives and customer expectations.
• Operational Leadership: Oversee and optimize the flow of materials, inventory, and tools to support production, maintenance, and aftermarket activities.
• Champion best practices in warehousing, distribution, and production control.
• Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Project & Change Management: Drive and participate in large-scale, cross-functional initiatives supporting business transformation.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate clearly and proactively with teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Problem Solving & Analytics: Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, resolve challenges, and support data-driven decision making.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA, import/export, hazmat, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
