Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Materials Supervisor (2nd Shift) in Appleton to lead and develop a team supporting multiple aircraft lines. You will manage warehousing, production control, and materials expediting while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include overseeing inventory accuracy, coordinating timely material deliveries, and driving continuous improvement across warehousing and distribution functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; FAA/EASA knowledge preferred.
• 2 years experience in materials management, warehousing, inventory control or related operations.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations, including the flow of materials and warehousing activities.
• Coordinate timely availability and delivery of materials, tools, and components for aircraft activities.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate, regulatory, and safety requirements (FAA/EASA, hazmat, import/export).
• Maintain accurate records and system transactions for inventory and warehousing.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operations and efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels and distribution to support maintenance and production.
• Conduct performance reviews and training to develop the team.
• Communicate effectively between leadership and team for alignment.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality for issue resolution.
• Monitor KPIs and trends related to operations and inventory.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for materials and warehousing.
• Participate in audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2 years experience in materials management, materials planning, warehousing, inventory control or related operational roles. Aviation or manufacturing experience preferred.. Valid Driver’s License required.

Position Purpose:

The Materials Supervisor leads and develops a team supporting one or several business lines, including Aircraft Production, Aircraft Completion, Aircraft Maintenance, Components Repair and Overhaul, or Spare Parts Sales & Distribution. This role ensures operational excellence in warehousing and distribution, production control, requirements planning, materials expediting, spare parts sales, and tool room operations, managing multiple priorities and projects to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing environment of collaboration, creating a culture of development where employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, and guiding team to high quality performance.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

• Lead and supervise daily operations, including the flow of materials and warehousing activities, to ensure efficient resource allocation and support for maintenance and production .
• Coordinate the timely availability and delivery of materials, tools, and components required. for aircraft and / or components activities .
• Ensure compliance with all corporate, regulatory, and safety requirements (including FAA/EASA, import/export, quality, hazmat, and departmental procedures).
• Maintain accurate records and system transactions related to inventory, materials movements, warehousing, and operational activities.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operations support, inventory management, warehousing, and operational efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels, accuracy, and distribution to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, production, and completion activities.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and skill development for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and other departments to resolve issues, optimize workflows, and support cross‑functional initiatives.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and trends related to operations support, inventory, warehousing, and team performance.
• Support financial goals, budgeting, and forecasting for materials, warehousing, distribution, tools support related activities.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and investigations to ensure compliance and support continuous improvement in, materials, warehousing, distribution, tools support operations.

Other Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects/priorities.
• Strong computer experience; Microsoft Office Suite required. Corridor, Cognos, CAS, CATIA, SAP, GAINS, Smart Team, etc. preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of computer systems.
• Occasional travel may be required.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
