Job summary

DSV in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Procurement Specialist, Material Planner to partner between demand planners and the fulfillment site. You will manage lead times, resolve delays, expedite POs, and monitor supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

Intermediate level position with strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma required.
Generally 2–4 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pass federal/state/local requirements and background checks as needed.
Ensure commitments from demand planning groups meet product lead times.
Resolve delays in providing materials within agreed timelines.
Manage lead times of POs placed on behalf of customers and report on lead times.
Expedite POs as needed and ensure recommit processes are followed.
Review backlog and coordinate with suppliers on recommitments and expedited requests.
Review supplier build/ship plans to meet PO commit dates and on-time shipments.
Manually schedule orders outside scheduled lead times and identify reasons for delays.
Monitor PO lead times and report on commitment attainment, addressing issues.
