Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Procurement Specialist, Material Planner in the USA (Dallas/LBJ area) to liaison between fulfillment managers, demand planners, and the site. The role includes managing material lead times, expediting SAP orders, and ensuring delivery commitments are met.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years of related experience, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed upon product lead times.
Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed upon timeline.
Manage the lead times of all delivery orders placed on behalf of the customer and report any issues with lead times.
Expedite SAP delivery orders to the site with assistance from internal and external partners.
Review the customer’s build/ship plans ensuring the plan will meet the commitments based on the delivery dates.
Identify opportunities to promote continuous improvement projects and see them through to completion.
Manage dock operations for the site, ensuring safety procedures are followed and documentation is current.
Assist with onboarding for new material planners and payroll/HR issues as needed.
