Job summary

DSV in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Procurement Specialist, Material Planner who will act as a liaison between the fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the DSV site. You will manage lead times, expedite POs, and monitor supplier plans to meet commitments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 2–4 years of related experience, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• This is an intermediate level position with emphasis on communication and analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma acceptable with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commitments from demand planning groups meet agreed lead times.
• Resolve delays to material availability within the timeline.
• Manage lead times on POs and report on commitment lead times.
• Expedite POs as needed and ensure recommit processes.
• Review backlog and coordinate with suppliers on recommits and exceptions.
• Monitor supplier build/ship plans to meet PO commitments.
• Identify reasons for orders not meeting lead times and schedule accordingly.
