Job summary

Slate Auto LLC is seeking a seasoned Material Planning Manager to lead our automotive material planning team and ensure uninterrupted production flow. You will optimize inventory levels, manage service parts and accessories purchasing, and partner cross-functionally with SI&OP, warehouse, and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in supply chain, 3+ years of management, and deep knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, with strong analytics and Excel expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but hands‑on experience may substitute effectively.
• 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management, preferably Material Management.
• 3+ years of previous manager experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management role.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of material management processes.
• Solid knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex, FUUZ) and inventory control.
• Proficiency in Excel and data tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and ability to present complex data clearly.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities; comfortable in startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Material/Inventory Analysts responsible for Service Parts and Accessories inventory.
• Drive continuous improvement in Material Planning and Inventory Management to reduce inventory and boost fulfillment.
• Collaborate with SI&OP and suppliers to understand portfolio requirements.
• Place and track purchase orders through ERP for service parts and accessories.
• Review lead times, minimum order quantities, and data with suppliers to optimize stock.
• Set safety stocks to meet demand and avoid stockouts.
• Own tactical supplier relationships and foster long‑term partnerships.
