Job summary

Slate is seeking a proactive Production Scheduler to drive the scheduling heartbeat of our high-volume automotive manufacturing in the USA. Build and maintain rolling production schedules balancing customer demand, equipment capacity, and material availability while collaborating with shop floor teams and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable in high-visibility work on the shop floor and in boardrooms, with strong Excel skills and ERP/MES experience to improve

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in production scheduling or master planning in high-volume automotive or Tier-1 environments.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle/NetSuite, Plex, Fuuz).
  • Expert-level Excel (lookups, formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
  • Excellent communication to coordinate with shop floor operators and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a rolling production schedule for OEM requirements and service demands.
  • Bridge between Production Control, Manufacturing, and Service to align daily, weekly, monthly output goals.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and create Plan B scenarios to maintain flow.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings with priorities and recovery plans.
