Job summary

Slate Auto is seeking an experienced Material Planning Manager to lead our automotive material planning team in the USA. You will oversee a group of analysts responsible for the planning, purchasing, and inventory of service parts and accessories, ensuring availability to customers and partners.

You will collaborate across SI&OP, warehouse/3PL, and suppliers, driving improvements in inventory levels and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management, with material management exposure.
• 3+ years of prior managerial experience in a SCM/Logistics role.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of material management processes.
• Deep knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Plex, and similar tools.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (SmartSheets, Tableau, PowerBI).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Material / Inventory Analysts focused on service parts and accessories.
• Drive continuous improvement in Material Planning to reduce inventory while maintaining high fulfillment.
• Collaborate with SI&OP to understand portfolio requirements.
• Place and track purchase orders via ERP and coordinate with suppliers.
• Lead supplier performance discussions to optimize lead times and order quantities.
• Develop and execute parts level strategies for inventory optimization.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and nurture long-term partnerships.
