Strategic Master Production Planner — Own the Schedule & Impact

Job summary

GTC, a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer, is seeking a Master Production Planner in Reading, OH to drive the master plan and capacity planning across functions.

You’ll translate demand into executable capacity, maintain MRP and capacity plans, and ensure on-time delivery to customers while collaborating with Business Development, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

This full-time role offers ownership in the company and a pathway to influence planning decisions from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum five years of manufacturing planning experience.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate demand into a Master Production Plan and Capacity Plans and keep them current as conditions change.
• Build and maintain Rough Cut Capacity Plans and detailed Capacity Requirements Plans.
• Configure and maintain the MRP system as a finite loading model of throughput.
• Monitor actual output versus plan and drive solutions to avoid disruptions.
• Conduct quarterly demand analysis and communicate impact clearly up the organization.
• Review monthly backlog with Project Managers and surface schedule changes.
• Propose realistic delivery commitments based on current and projected demand.
• Update the Master Production Plan for SOP meetings with stakeholders.
• Develop tools to evaluate the impact of proposed schedule changes.
• Coordinate with Production Control to execute schedules and report metrics.
