Job summary

General Tool Company in Reading, OH, is seeking a Master Production Planner to translate demand into an actionable Master Production Plan and capacity plan. You’ll manage capacity, scheduling, and MRP to ensure on-time customer shipments while collaborating with Business Development, Program Management, Finance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

You will analyze demand, adjust plans under pressure, and communicate clearly with stakeholders to drive improvements and meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years of experience in manufacturing with productivity focus.
• Experience managing project and program financial performance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP data collection; Tactic helpful.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate demand and forecasts into a Master Production Plan and Capacity Plan.
• Build and maintain Rough Cut and Capacity Requirements Plans.
• Configure and maintain MRP system for finite loading and schedule accuracy.
• Monitor output vs plan and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct quarterly demand analysis and communicate impacts to leadership.
• Lead monthly backlog reviews with Project Managers to surface changes.
• Propose delivery commitments based on current and projected demand.
• Update Master Production Plan for SOP meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Develop tools to evaluate schedule changes before they cascade.
• Coordinate with Production Control Coordinators to execute schedules.
• Report key production metrics on time.
