Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a senior strategist to lead strategic analyses and financial modeling for franchise location decisions across the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, and Mexico. You will support Franchise Sales, Development, and Americas Finance with data-driven insights and strategic reports.

The role emphasizes building Compass/Tableau-based tools, guiding executive decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Hybrid Atlanta-based position with 15–25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Statistics or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ progressive work experience in strategy, consultancy or finance with hotel/real estate development desirable.
• Demonstrated financial modeling/analysis (DCF, NPV, accounting, statistics) and basic financial principals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strategic analyses and develop quantitative support for Franchise Sales/Development and Americas Finance.
• Identify target locations for mainstream, upscale, or new brand hotels and develop reports to track performance vs targets.
• Build and maintain strategic reports for senior management, including CEO and regional operating committee.
• Perform market analyses for US, Canada, Caribbean, and Mexico to study trends in consumer economics and demographics.
• Independently conduct market field work to assess viability of proposed IHG-branded hotels.
• Maintain data and systems underpinning Market Strategy (Compass, Tableau, Business Objects, Access).
• Review hotel project attributes and contribute to internal review processes.
