Job summary

RJM Construction is seeking a Business Development Strategist to build connections, uncover opportunities, and position RJM for growth across priority markets. You’ll work with Market Development Leaders, Marketing, and Operations to drive strategic initiatives.

Headquartered in the Twin Cities, RJM has 150+ staff, major project experience in community, healthcare, corporate, and multifamily sectors, and a focus on relationships that extend beyond individuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• 7+ years of business development or related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, architects, owners, brokers and developers.
• Identify and nurture project opportunities; gather timing, decision-maker and procurement info.
• Maintain market intelligence on clients, projects and industry trends and share insights.
• Connect RJM leaders with external contacts to expand relationships.
• Support account plans and coordinate internal resources for pursuits.
• Participate in industry associations, events, and activities to access opportunities.
• Qualify and advance opportunities with the Market Development Leader and leaders.
