Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation seeks a seasoned Program Manager to lead Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs, coordinating across government authorities and internal teams. You will ensure timely CDRL delivery, manage budgets, and forecast manpower with the customer while maintaining compliance with FAR/DFAR and DoD requirements.

The role requires extensive maritime logistics experience, leadership of technical teams, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in managing programs with >$25M value.
  • 5+ years in PM roles in government contracts; interpret SOWs and contract mods.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and DoD requirements.
  • Experience with Aviation Support Equipment (ASE).
  • Superior communication with government customers and reps.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • PMP or PgMP certification is a plus.
  • At least 4+ years supervisory experience in maritime or naval logistics.
  • Familiarity with MPF concepts, MSC-managed vessels, and NAVSUP publications.
  • Experience supporting Navy/Marine Corps proposals.
  • Comprehensive MPF program knowledge; NAVSUP/NAVFAC/RSupply experience.
  • Environmental and Safety compliance understanding in naval context.
  • Minimum 15 years in technical program support; 8+ years in equipment maintenance, supply chain, logistics, budget planning.
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the overall lead, manager and administrator for this contracted effort.
  • Serve as the primary interface with Government program authorities on technical and program issues.
  • Communicate schedules, risks, and issues; update customer and senior management.
  • Manage on-time delivery of CDRLs and program milestones.
  • Oversee budgets and assist in strategic planning for operational needs.
  • Forecast manpower requirements with the customer.
  • Lead and mentor subordinate managers and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company, federal, state and local regulations.
  • Coordinate ship maintenance, modernization, and dry-docking with MSC and MARLOGCOM.
  • Serve as Navy liaison for cross-service coordination and readiness reporting.
  • Monitor material condition, readiness, and equipment availability aboard MPF ships.
  • Manage contractor/vendor performance for ship repair and depot maintenance.
  • Support embarkation/debarkation planning and exercise support.
  • Present program updates, budgets, and readiness briefings to Navy/Marine leadership.
  • Establish KPIs and align with contract deliverables.
