Program Managers may participate in early-stage planning, guide complex decision-making, and represent the Program Management function in internal and external discussions.

The Program Management (PM) team plays a critical role in overseeing manufacturing projects from initial launch through mass production and final shipment. Functioning as a Manufacturing Program Management (MPM) organization, the team works closely with headquarters Sales, R&D, Quality, and Engineering teams to estimate resources, manage schedules, and align execution with customer requirements. The PM team coordinates cross-functional activities, balances customer commitments with internal efficiency, and adapts plans as conditions change. By serving as a key bridge between customers, headquarters, and manufacturing functions, the team supports timely execution and successful product delivery.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee one or more manufacturing projects, ensuring projects are aligned with customer requirements, business objectives, and operational capabilities.

• Manage resource planning across programs, ensuring staffing and capacity align with business needs.

• Monitor program-level schedules, milestones, and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and driving resolution plans.

• Lead escalation management for complex issues impacting cost, schedule, quality, or customer satisfaction.

• Ensure effective coordination across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams.

• Participate in discussions with internal stakeholders, customers, and/or headquarters to assess feasibility, scope, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Provide strategic direction and guidance to Project Managers, ensuring consistent execution, prioritization, and risk management across projects.

• Develop, coach, and evaluate Program and Project Managers, supporting performance management and professional growth.

• Represent the Program Management function in cross-functional, customer-facing, and executive-level meetings.

• Support departmental planning activities, including process improvement, standardization, and best practice sharing.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong program and project leadership capabilities in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining strategic perspective.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, production planning, and operational constraints.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level interactions.

• Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and drive alignment without direct authority.

• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in dynamic and ambiguous situations.

• Ability to balance customer expectations with internal efficiency, capacity, and risk considerations.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

• Typically at least 8 years of relevant experience in program or project management within a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment.

• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management, mentoring, or partial managerial responsibility.
