Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in Oakland, CA is seeking a procurement professional to manage direct and indirect material purchasing and support NPDI/MPDI activities. You will monitor orders, negotiate with suppliers, and collaborate across Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery and cost targets.

The role requires SAP/ERP experience, strong Excel and data analysis skills, and a track record of improving supplier performance in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders for direct/indirect materials and services per MRP/ERP and production schedules.
• Monitor open orders, expedite deliveries to prevent disruptions, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with Strategic Procurement.
• Maintain SAP data: pricing, lead times, MOQs, supplier records.
• Manage MRP exception messages including reschedules and cancellations.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Eng., and Production to resolve issues and shortages.
• Track procurement metrics and identify opportunities for savings and improvement.
• Support NPDI/MPDI by sourcing materials and qualifying suppliers.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews and manage supply risks.
