Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Operations 3 to lead all aspects of designated operations, including fabrication, machining, welding, assembly and test, to meet cost and schedule targets on major programs. The role requires a technical bachelor’s degree (or master’s with experience) and 8+ years in manufacturing/heavy assembly, with strong leadership and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of manufacturing/ heavy assembly experience; OR a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Management and/or leadership experience.
Experience with manufacturing methods and processes.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Direct all aspects and phases of designated operations from inception through completion, including fabrication, machining, welding, assembly and test (steam plant).
Monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, cost performance to budgets, and provide data/status as cost area manager.
Direct the work of Supervisors and Employees, support safety initiatives, and liaise with Employee Union representatives.
