Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Controller for Manufacturing to lead the accounting and finance function in Helena, MT. You will manage GL, payroll, and close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls while partnering with operations on cost and margin analysis.

The role requires a CPA (preferred) and 7+ years in progressive accounting leadership within manufacturing or complex environments, with ERP and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in controller or senior accounting leadership role preferred.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or operationally complex industry experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• ERP experience and proficiency with Excel.
• CPA or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting and finance functions: GL, AP, AR, payroll, month-end close.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Partner with operations to analyze financial performance, costs, and margins.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Provide financial analysis to senior leadership for decision-making.
