Job summary

Software Placement Group in Wheatland, PA is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead its finance and accounting function. Reporting to the CEO, this hands-on role owns financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, cash flow, controls, and partnering with PE sponsor, lenders, auditors, and operational leadership.

This role will drive month-end close, cost accounting, inventory valuation, internal controls, annual budgeting, and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA, CGMA, and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment highly desirable.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 6+ years in manufacturing environment with cost structures and inventory.
• Hands-on with month-end close, AR/AP, audits, budgeting and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function and manage the Finance Department and team.
• Own general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting and COGS analysis across product lines.
• Manage inventory valuation including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Develop internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Prepare and present reporting to CEO, PE sponsors, lenders, and leadership.
• Manage bank covenants and lender reporting.
• Oversee multi-entity consolidations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee AP/AR and payroll oversight; partner with ops and sales on margins.
• Ensure revenue recognition per ASC 606 and tax compliance across states.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for production, shipments, and margins.
• Evaluate capex, vendor financing, and acquisitions; support ERP optimization.
