Job summary

Kenson Plastics is seeking a strategic Controller to direct all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance. This hybrid role requires building a strong financial foundation in a growth environment with a 4-day onsite schedule in Beaver Falls.

You will lead end-to-end accounting, cost modeling, variance analysis, audits, and tax filings while partnering with operations to drive precision manufacturing and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required; CPA/ MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in controller/finance leadership.
• Manufacturing environment experience with job costing and variance analysis is essential.
• Proven track record in month-end closes, audits, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Accounting operations oversight: manage GL, AP/AR, payroll and team supervision.
• Internal controls + asset protection: design and maintain robust control frameworks.
• Financial reporting + GAAP: prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements per GAAP.
• Month-end / year-end close management: drive timely closes and schedules.
• Job costing + cost modeling: develop and maintain product cost models from data.
• Production variance analysis: partner with operations to analyze cost drivers and variances.
• Audit coordination: liaise with external auditors and manage audits.
• Tax + regulatory compliance: coordinate federal/state/local filings.
