PROF Group, a growing steel fabrication and manufacturing business, seeks an experienced, hands-on Corporate Controller to lead the finance and accounting function and serve as a key member of the leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will own financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, and operational finance, while working closely with the private equity sponsor, lenders, auditors and leadership.

Qualifications

• Controller-level experience in manufacturing is required.
• At least 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 6+ years in manufacturing with cost structures, inventory, and COGS.
• Experience collaborating with operations leadership to drive decisions.
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment with reporting to PE sponsors.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, GL accounting, and internal controls.
• Hands-on in month-end/year-end close, AR/AP, audits, budgeting, and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function and team.
• Own general ledger, month- and year-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Oversee cost accounting, COGS, and inventory reconciliation.
• Develop internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, variance analysis.
• Present financials to CEO, PE sponsors, lenders, and leadership.
• Ensure bank covenant compliance and lender reporting.
• Oversee multi-entity accounting, consolidations, intercompany reconciliations.
• Partner with operations and sales on margin, labor costs, production, pricing.
• Support ERP optimization and acquisitions due diligence.
• Assist external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for production, shipments, margins.
