Job summary

ALCO Designs, a manufacturing displays company in Gardena, CA, seeks a hands-on Controller to oversee all financial operations. You will manage accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls in a small business setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with QuickBooks and ERP systems. This role collaborates with leadership to drive cost efficiency and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting.
• Experience with inventory control and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and banking.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain cost accounting records, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and coordinate with CPA for audits.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; align financial goals with operations.
• Partner with production teams to analyze costs and process improvements.
• Implement and improve financial systems and reporting tools.
