Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to hire a Controller who will lead accounting, cost accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. This hands-on role requires interaction with ownership and a strong manufacturing background.

The ideal candidate blends strategic insight with detailed accounting execution, thrives in a lean accounting team, and can manage complexity across cost centers and capital investments.

Qualifications

• Strong progressive accounting experience with Controller-level responsibilities.
• Manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Expertise in cost accounting, product costing, inventory, variances, labor and overhead.
• Hands-on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, GL accounting and analysis.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems; IQMS helpful.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a lean accounting organization directly with ownership.
• Strong analytical skills to adjust reports and forecasts quickly.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting activities, including the general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable oversight, inventory accounting, and month‑end and year‑end close.
• Lead manufacturing and cost accounting activities, including product costing, production variances, inventory controls, new‑product costing, and analysis of labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Prepare financial statements, forecasts, cash‑flow analyses, budgets, and other reporting for ownership and company leadership.
• Partner with manufacturing and operational teams to analyze costs, identify variances, support pricing decisions, and improve financial performance.
• Lead annual company and departmental budgeting processes and provide ongoing analysis of actual performance against forecasts and budgets.
• Manage accounting and financial reporting related to capital expenditures and other significant business investments.
• Coordinate external audits, tax preparation, regulatory reporting, and other financial compliance requirements.
• Work directly with ownership to develop ad hoc financial analyses, revise forecasts, evaluate business performance, and quickly respond to changing reporting needs.
