Job summary

Saminco Manufacturing, LLC is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function, oversee financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls. This hands-on role partners with executives to drive profitability, improve processes, and provide timely financial insights for strategic decisions.

The Controller will manage month-end close, audits, and reporting, while guiding staff and coordinating with operations and lenders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA, CMA or comparable credential preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with controllership exposure.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, GL, month-end close, budgeting and audits.
• Knowledge of inventory/cost accounting, cycle counts, variances, and manufacturing context.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and cash-flow reporting.
• Ensure accuracy of GL, balance sheet reconciliations, and records.
• Analyze performance, explain variances, and recommend actions to improve results.
• Oversee inventory accounting, costing, and variance analysis.
• Partner with operations to improve inventory accuracy and profitability.
• Lead external audits, maintain internal controls and policies.
• Develop budgeting and forecasting activities and provide business insights.
• Manage administrative staff and cross-training programs.
