Job summary

CFS, a growing manufacturing company in Brownsburg, Indiana, is seeking a Manufacturing Controller to lead accounting operations, improve financial reporting, and provide strategic financial guidance that shapes business decisions.

You will partner with operations to drive profitability, own month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audits; manage and develop the accounting team; and ensure compliance with GAAP. CPA/CMA preferred; ERP and advanced Excel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing financial processes.
• Experience managing month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Manage and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability and continuous improvement
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Partner with manufacturing and operational leaders to improve profitability and control costs
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Coordinate audits, tax reporting, and regulatory requirements
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational performance metrics
