Job summary

CFS in Indiana is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a manufacturing-focused accounting team. You will own portions of the month-end close, analyze financials, and support operational reporting while collaborating with experienced finance professionals.

You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and contribute to SOX-related processes in a well-established organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
3–4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to manufacturing/audit.
Good computer skills, including ERP experience and proficiency in Excel-pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.
Self-starter mentality with the ability to take ownership.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Own key responsibilities within the month-end close process, including complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
Help ensure financials are reported within the reporting cycle.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial information and operational reporting.
Support quarterly SOX audits, including gathering and preparing documentation.
Participate in inventory cycle counts.
Research and resolve accounting issues and complete various ad hoc financial and accounting projects.
Partner with the accounting and finance team to improve processes and support business needs.
