Job summary

Dynisco in Franklin, MA is seeking a part-time, 1099 independent contractor for maternity leave coverage. The Buyer will plan and procure materials, negotiate with suppliers, and manage tactical sourcing across manufacturing sites.

You’ll analyze data, coordinate with manufacturing teams, and maintain vendor databases to ensure on-time delivery and cost control. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 2 years in purchasing or supply chain, with familiarity in reading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing/supply chain/manufacturing/production experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications for electro/mechanical devices.
• Working knowledge of MRP principles and materials management.
• APICS and/or ISM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure purchase orders are placed on time and delivered on time and at cost.
• Plan and procure materials in support of manufacturing cells and site requirements.
• Tactical sourcing of materials and services for manufacturing.
• Ability to select, analyze and report supply chain data.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners and departments to maintain schedules and availability.
• Obtain quotes as requested by supervisors and other departments.
• Maintain purchase item database (order quantities, lead times, vendor info, part numbers).
• Assist in processing disposition or material rejects.
• Provide feedback to suppliers on quality, delivery and cost reduction.
• Stay informed about supplier developments that may affect material supply.
• Other supply chain duties as needed.
