Job summary

Innovative Controls Systems in Bethlehem, PA seeks an experienced Purchasing professional to ensure on-time delivery and quality of items for production. You will manage supplier quotes, forecasts, and procurement activities to support cost reduction and supply continuity.

Responsibilities include negotiating with vendors, issuing RFQs, maintaining ERP records, and coordinating with engineering and production. Strong communication and Lean experience are required; Oracle knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years purchasing in manufacturing, high-volume preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience required.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
• International purchasing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assure quality and on-time delivery of purchased items.
• Negotiate with vendors on price, quality and delivery.
• Issue RFQs and evaluate quotes based on price, lead time, quality.
• Create, release, and monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and ops on supply needs.
• Maintain ERP purchasing records.
• Expedite parts when exceptions arise.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
