Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. (PPWI) invites applications for a Philanthropy Officer, Major Gifts (40 hours/week) at our Appleton Administrative Offices.

The position focuses on building and managing a portfolio of individual principal and major donors to support PPWI's mission. You will research and cultivate donors, solicit five- to seven-figure gifts, and coordinate with leadership and volunteers, including the Board.

Qualifications

• Track record of meeting aggressive fundraising goals and securing 5 and 6 figure gifts.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the goals and initiatives of a collaborative fundraising team.
• Proven track record of building relationships and working effectively with donors from a variety of backgrounds, identities and experiences.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with senior management and volunteers, including Board of Directors.
• Timely follow-up especially as it relates to donor interactions.
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and working knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience with Plus Delta Donor Engagement Process or another moves management tool preferred.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of 125-150 donors and prospects by qualifying, researching, cultivating and soliciting gifts of $10,000 or more from individuals.
• Strategic Fundraising: Plan, develop and implement strategies to cultivate and solicit 5, 6 and 7 figure gifts, to include writing professional proposals to donors as required.
• Stewardship & Relationship Building: Develop and implement a year-round stewardship and cultivation plan for donors in your portfolio including face-to-face, phone, and email contact.
• Community Engagement: Represent PPWI at key community events, coordinating with volunteers and staff to maximize donor engagement.
• Other Duties: Other duties as assigned.
