Job summary

Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association in Memphis is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to grow its major gifts program. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with gifts of $1,000 and up, while building strong relationships across the organization and with external partners.

You will work with the Development/Communications team to craft materials, leverage technology, recruit volunteers, and maintain donor pipelines to achieve fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Four years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, event planning, or nonprofit development
• Four years executing fundraising events logistics and campaigns, including meeting or exceeding revenue goals
• Four years experience cultivating and managing donor relationships, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships
• Two years project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously
• Technically proficient in operating essential office equipment and standard software including Microsoft Office; cybersecurity awareness included

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to generate new gifts and enhance MIFA’s major giving program(s).
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors; leverage data to grow major gifts.
• Collaborate with the Development/Communications team on marketing materials for major donors; recruit and manage volunteers.
