Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a maintenance planning professional in Newark, NJ to enhance factory reliability. You will evaluate requests, scope jobs, and estimate labor, parts, and tools while inspecting sites to determine requirements.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance and precise scheduling in a demanding manufacturing setting. You will lead weekly planning meetings, craft job plans, and maintain a robust backlog.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field with 1–3 years scheduling/planning or 5–10 years as a machine technician.
• Familiar with industrial manufacturing environments and CMMS systems.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates non-emergency work requests, develops scope of work and inspects job location.
• Estimates labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment and tools for proactive jobs.
• Gathers drawings, schematics and manuals; verifies part availability prior to scheduling.
• Maintains an organized backlog to plan next priority jobs and keeps Ready Backlog ≥80%.
• Conducts weekly planning and scheduling meetings with Production to set priorities.
• Creates a Weekly Technician Schedule covering priority and PM tasks.
• Improves work order planning and scheduling through review and metrics.
• Trains site employees on CMMS usage and integrity.
