Job summary

Robinhood Markets, Inc. seeks a Director of Corporate Development to identify, vet, and execute acquisitions and strategic investments across product verticals and geographies.

You will craft business cases, lead valuations, and guide deals from sourcing through post-close integration. You’ll work with deal sponsors and cross-functional teams, presenting to senior leadership and the Board, while developing a proactive pipeline with founders, bankers, and investors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, PE, or similar investing roles within fintech/financial services/consumer tech.
• Proven sourcing, leading, and closing of complex technology acquisitions or strategic investments, including in-house CD experience.
• Strong analytical skills including valuation, financial modeling, and structured problem solving.
• Ability to reason from first principles using data to draw conclusions with a bias to action.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of building relationships with founders, investors, bankers, and executives.
• Executive presence with outstanding written and verbal communication; experience presenting to senior leadership and boards.
• Resourceful and persistent; thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Familiarity with Robinhood and the fintech industry; comfort with personal finance apps.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Robinhood's strategic landscape and develop the business case for key M&A opportunities.
• Manage transactions end to end: sourcing, valuation, negotiation, diligence, closing, and post-close integration.
• Lead deal evaluation meetings and drive objective, effective decision making.
• Cultivate relationships with founders, VC firms, and investment banks to build a pipeline of opportunities.
• Collaborate across Legal, Finance, Compliance, Product, and Engineering to build clear business cases.
• Present opportunities to leadership and the Board, and report on post-acquisition performance.
• Help build scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices for the Corporate Development team.
