Job summary

eBay's Corporate Development Associate reports to the Sr. Director/Director. The role blends strategic problem solving, deal experience, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

You will identify target opportunities, perform analyses, conduct due diligence, determine valuation and structure, develop negotiation strategy, and coordinate with the M&A Integration team. This position offers close exposure to eBay's leadership, with a path to broader operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS undergraduate degree required.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in top-tier investment bank, corporate development, private equity or venture capital.
• Hybrid model with three days per week in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare executive presentations with strategic framing and recommendations.
• Identify and evaluate potential acquisition or investment opportunities with business and product teams.
• Conduct rigorous valuation analyses and business/integration case modeling.
• Backstop due diligence for targets and evaluate results.
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups (Finance, Tax, Accounting, Legal, HR) through the deal process.
