Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks an Associate, Corporate Development in San Mateo to join its M&A team. You will identify inorganic growth opportunities, build valuation models, and prepare strategic rationale for transactions, partnering with executives across the company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of M&A experience in IB, PE, or corporate development.
• Experience evaluating inorganic growth opportunities with financial models and presentations.
• Strategic, quantitative, and financial modelling skills with data-driven analyses.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication with executive presence.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects across global teams.
• BA or equivalent; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic transactions with business units.
• Provide market insights to support strategy and M&A activities.
• Construct detailed valuation models for potential transactions.
• Prepare presentations outlining the strategic rationale for transactions.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence and manage from due diligence through close and integration.
• Present business cases to senior management for project approval.
• Collaborate with post-merger integration and operations teams.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders across SIE and Sony businesses.
• Support investor relations, capital markets, and strategy-related projects.
