Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Irving, TX seeks a collections professional to review delinquent and high-risk accounts, advising customers on payment strategies and products that meet their objectives. You will deliver service, build trust, and execute loss-mitigation processes within approved procedures.

You will develop relationships, gather data for reports, and support strategic initiatives across internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience in collections is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Credit Qualifications and related credit knowledge.
• Knowledge of federal, state/provincial and local Consumer Collections laws.
• Knowledge of BMO products and services.
• Understanding of market trends in collections and finance.

Responsibilities

• Review delinquent/high-risk accounts for collections opportunities.
• Advise customers on payment strategies and products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build trust.
• Develop and maintain long-term, profitable relationships with clients.
• Prepare regular/ad-hoc reports and dashboards for collections activities.
• Execute loss mitigation processes for non-performing accounts.
• Escalate complex cases to managers as needed.
• Collaborate in the design and management of core collections processes.
