Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced Collections Relationship Manager to review delinquent and high-risk accounts and determine appropriate recovery strategies.

You will advise customers on payment plans, apply loss-mitigation options, and provide sales and service to BMO clients, while collaborating with teams to meet objectives. This on-site role emphasizes negotiation, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience with post-secondary degree.
• Knowledge of Credit Qualifications according to established standards.
• Knowledge of federal, state/provincial and local laws pertaining to Consumer Collections.
• Knowledge of BMO products and services.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in reviewing delinquent or high-risk accounts for collections opportunities.
• Advises customers on payment strategies and products to meet objectives.
• Provides sales and service activities for customers per approved procedures.
• Builds and maintains long-term, profitable relationships and expands share of wallet.
• Develops data and reports, and supports loss mitigation processes to resolve non-performing accounts.
