Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Solutions Specialist in Irving, TX. This role combines B2B sales, strategic planning, and problem-solving to connect clients with tailored logistics solutions and build lasting partnerships.

A valid driver’s license and 2+ years in B2B sales are required. The position emphasizes in-person client meetings, collaboration with operations, and achieving high-volume freight in the territory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in B-B sales or equivalent.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout assigned territory to meet customers in person and build relationships with traffic personnel, agents and executives.
• Inform customers of new service points and improvements in OD service.
• Assist customers with obtaining rate agreements and coordinate with pricing coordinators.
• Regularly check major accounts to ensure On-Time service promises are met.
• Prepare reports of monthly customer activities to identify business levels.
• Provide information on rates and rate changes; submit itineraries weekly for coverage areas.
• Maintain relationships with drivers and discuss possible leads; coordinate with service center operations.
• Communicate equipment requirements and hours of service to operations; inform customers of Speed Service and Expedited options.
• Manage transportation and entertainment expenses in weekly expense reports.
• Keep daily sales call records in the company system; handle customer complaints through appropriate channels.
