Job summary

Transportation Insight, LLC is seeking a Solutions Engineer to assess, develop and support the implementation of logistics solutions that improve client business models. The role requires strong data analysis and the ability to design an ideal future state through collaboration with sales and delivery teams.

You will price complex multi‑mode service solutions, participate in prospect strategy meetings, and help produce presentations and documents for clients.

Qualifications

• BS degree in business or related field; MBA preferred if Bachelor’s degree is not in business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain management related fields.
• Minimum 4+ years of complex, consultative, solutions experience is required.
• Direct consulting experience of transportation, logistics, and/or TMS at the C-Suite decision-making level

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate the value and differentiators of Transportation Insight as a logistics partner.
• Gather client requirements and understand the key drivers for value-based supply chain improvements.
• Assess a validated prospects’ current supply chain program by documenting current state.
• Coordinate the assessment process and hold internal teams accountable for timelines.
• Understand client systems/applications used in current state to propose best solution.
• Work with cross-functional delivery team to develop a solutions strategy and framework.
• Participate in solution design meetings and coordinate internal resources.
• Document the future solution for presentations and documentation as needed.
• Help create pricing strategies for Transportation Insight service offerings.
• Assist sales in demonstrating technology platforms to close new business.
• Communicate with prospects and clients via phone, web and on-site.
• Report unfulfilled needs and improvements to Solutions leadership.
• Assess the transition process from sales to implementation/account management, for continuous improvement.
• Document best practices to support ongoing improvement efforts.
