Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Operations Manager to join the Contract Logistics team in the United States. You will lead a shift, plan labor, ensure safety, manage receiving, storage, sequencing, and on-time delivery while collaborating with the General Manager, supervisors, and customers.

Bring 5+ years of warehousing leadership, a bachelor's in supply chain or manufacturing, and a proven record in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. WMS experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in warehousing.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management discipline or manufacturing.
• Proven leadership and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement.
• Previous Operations leadership in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of WMS experience.
• 3+ years experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift and oversee planning, coordination, staffing, safety, and performance.
• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, sequencing, and timely product delivery to production areas.
• Establish goals with General Manager and management team; plan labor needs and space utilization.
• Develop and implement programs promoting safe and efficient use of material handling equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized facilities and support accurate operational reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and 5S in the workplace.
