Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in the United States is seeking an Operational Care Specialist to coordinate shipments, bookings with partners, and ensure on-time delivery while complying with KN standards. You will liaise with customer care, carriers, and gateways, monitor deviations, and support process improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.

A background in air freight and freight forwarding is required for this role.

Qualifications

3+ years of air logistics experience handling air shipments (import).
2+ years of freight forwarding industry experience.
High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills.
Airfreight knowledge and service mindset.
Adherence to regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.
Ability to coordinate with suppliers and partners and maintain relationships.
Flexibility to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage and perform operational activities reliably, accurately and on-time.
Follow the communication concept for effective stakeholder updates.
Monitor shipments and deviations, update KN systems with visibility and costs.
Review CCL instructions for conflicts with regulations, routing, TT or rates.
Report problems or disputes to supervisors or managers immediately.
Collaborate with partners, gateway, warehouse, customs teams, RCC and external parties.
Monitor carrier performance and escalate issues to improve delivery.
