Job summary

Echo Global Logistics in Detroit seeks an Account Executive to manage relationships with key accounts and proactively offer solutions based on shipping patterns and needs. You will coordinate daily shipment requests by phone and email, resolve issues, and learn Echo's technology to drive value.

In this role you will partner with internal teams to ensure timely billing, track shipments, and communicate any changes to clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with high GPA required.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience in business services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Calm under pressure with strong business acumen.
• Knowledgeable about relevant modes of transportation.
• Team player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing key account relationships and offer solutions based on shipping patterns and needs.
• Confidently problem solve issues such as a missed pickup, late delivery, damaged freight or incorrect billing.
• Proactively communicate any issues to the client.
• Coordinate all daily shipments through phone, email and Echo's client-facing web portal.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing while proactively notifying client of any changes.
• Gain competency with Echo's technology and educate clients on its benefits.
• Partner with other departments across Echo to track shipments, resolve discrepancies and file claims completely and correctly in a timely manner.
