Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a senior supply chain leader to manage Local, subcontract, and Steel/Resin material supply. The role focuses on PSI, forecasts, POs, JIT, and inventory control to prevent shortages and excess costs.

You will coordinate US/Mexico supplier relationships, develop purchasing strategies, and lead a team of buyers to optimize turns and working capital while ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8–10+ years in direct-material purchasing or supply-chain operations.
• Experience leading a team or function.
• Strong knowledge of PSI/MRP, forecasts, POs, delivery orders, inventory and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PSI and material supply for Local, subcontract, and Steel/Resin to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
• Convert production plans into requirements, POs, and delivery schedules; validate lead times and capacity.
• Manage the complete PO cycle including confirmations, open orders, and closeouts.
• Oversee delivery orders, JIT execution, and final material receipts.
• Coordinate US/Mexico supplier activity and cross-border logistics.
• Develop steel/resin and other raw-material purchasing strategies; monitor costs and risks.
• Coordinate material specs, supplier qualifications, and changes with Engineering and Quality.
• Set supplier KPIs and conduct reviews, audits, and corrective actions.
• Establish contingency plans for delays and supply disruptions.
• Set inventory targets, monitor stock levels, and reduce aging inventory.
• Lead supplier reviews and drive continuous process improvements.
• Mentor and develop buyers and supply-chain staff.
