The role requires deep knowledge of HTSUS, country-of-origin criteria, and trade programs such as USMCA and Section 232, with responsibility for regulatory updates and CBP inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Active Licensed Customs Broker.

Responsibilities

• Prepare origin and classification rulings.
• Verify HTSUS for customs duties.
• Determine country-of-origin under USFTA/USMCA and others.
• Apply duty exemption schemes like Section 232 and 301 exclusions.
• Support AD/CVD matters and assess product applicability to law.
• Respond to CBP inquiries (CF-28) promptly.
• Manage large data sets to support claims and drawbacks.
• Monitor annual continuous customs bond requirements.
• Manage PSC filings and prior disclosures.
• Oversee certificates of origin under FTAs and recordkeeping.
• Set up C-PTAT certification.
• Report entry records to HQ monthly.
• Review CF-7501/CF-3461 documents and coordinate corrections.
• Maintain 5S3R standards for workplace organization.
