Samsung Electronics America is seeking a seasoned Senior Supply Chain professional to lead Local, subcontract and Steel/Resin PSI material supply, ensuring on-time delivery and optimized inventory for U.S./Mexico operations. You will convert forecasts to PO schedules, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.

The role requires 8–10+ years in direct-material purchasing, strong ERP/MRP expertise, and leadership experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years in direct-material purchasing, plant materials management, production planning, procurement or supply-chain operations; at least 3 years of people-management experience.
• Knowledge of PSI/MRP, forecasts, POs, Delivery Orders/JIT, supplier scheduling/OTD, inventory and steel/resin materials; supplier performance and risk management.
• SAP or comparable ERP/MRP; advanced Excel/PowerPoint; strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills; ability to manage urgent production issues; strong English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end Local, subcontract and Steel/Resin PSI and material supply to prevent shortages and interruptions.
• Translate production plans into requirements, POs, delivery schedules and JIT calls, validating lead times and capacity.
• Manage the complete PO cycle, supplier confirmations, open/past-due orders and delivery discrepancies.
• Oversee Delivery Orders and JIT execution, verify shipments, quantities and delivery windows for critical materials.
• Coordinate U.S./Mexico supplier flows and cross-border logistics with responsible functions.
• Develop Steel/Resin and other raw-material purchasing strategies; monitor costs, tariffs and availability.
• Set supplier KPIs for on-time delivery, quantity and quality; lead reviews and corrective actions.
• Establish contingency plans for late deliveries, border delays, and logistics disruptions.
• Lead, coach and develop buyers/material-management staff; manage workload and performance.
• Conduct regular shortage-risk and priority reviews; support urgent production issues.
