Job summary

Quality Carriers, Inc. is seeking a Load Planner in Gary, IN to coordinate all load planning and freight movement, secure outside freight, and maximize profitability.

This role requires clear communication with customers and internal teams, plus on-call availability at times. The candidate should possess 2–3 years in chemical bulk transportation, strong knowledge of lanes and rates, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and TMW.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years chemical bulk transportation industry experience in a dispatcher or transportation operations role.
• Knowledge of lanes, rates, and market practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel) and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Create daily schedules and backhaul plans for assets.
• Match drivers to loads to maximize revenue and efficiency.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and inspections for trailers.
• Oversee tank wash scheduling and ETA communication.
• Monitor freight coverage and coordinate with central scheduling teams.
• Track load-matching data and support special projects.
