Qualifications

• Five-plus years of business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Excellent writing/editing, proofreading, grammar and research skills (a writing and editing test is required).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive requests from multiple lawyers while producing high-quality work.
• Understanding of litigation lifecycle, terminology, courts and regulators.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, CRM and research platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pitches, responses to RFPs and marketing materials communicating the Firm’s strengths.
• Support and coordinate BD initiatives for partners, including generating new business and boosting visibility.
• Research and identify new business opportunities and strategic sponsorships.
• Draft submissions for Chambers USA and other directories; manage deadlines and references.
• Monitor news relating to the Firm’s Litigation practices and update marketing materials accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of BD activity in CRM and experience management systems.
• Coordinate conference sponsorship requests and client events.
• Collaborate with Communications, Events, Competitive Intelligence and Creative Services teams.
