Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Legal Practice Manager (LPM) to support a partner or group of partners with a large, complex practice across multiple teams. You will drive matter lifecycle efficiency, financial reporting, and client service excellence as the central operational hub.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team—pitch, finance, billing, admin, and client services—ensuring strategic alignment with the firm's goals and delivering value to clients in a hybrid US office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in legal operations, practice management, or professional services environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pitch and proposal activity, matter opening, budgeting, and compliance with client guidelines.
• Monitor WIP, billing, collections, and profitability metrics for the partner’s portfolio.
• Coordinate with billing teams to ensure timely invoicing aligned with client requirements.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional client service and operational excellence.
