Job summary

Employ Milwaukee seeks a Director of Workforce Policy and Strategy to lead policy, compliance, and program strategy for WIOA Title I-B. The role oversees policy development, performance, and employer engagement while collaborating across departments to improve service delivery and outcomes for job seekers and employers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of related experience in workforce development or public policy.
• Ability to interpret federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and funding requirements.
• Experience leading strategic policy initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce policy and strategy aligning WIOA programs with organizational goals.
• Supervise the WIOA Program Manager and Compliance Manager.
• Develop policy positions, briefing materials, and recommendations for leadership.
• Represent the organization with policymakers, boards, and partners at various levels.
