Job summary

The City of New York’s Mayor’s Office is seeking a Senior Advisor and Director of the NYC Workforce Development Board to lead strategic policy and oversight of WIOA programs. You will guide interagency collaboration, ensure program compliance, and advance equitable access to good jobs for New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and
• 8+ years in government, public-policy, legal, or intergovernmental affairs, with at least three years in a managerial capacity, or
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Director of the NYC Workforce Development Board (WDB).
• Support Board’s role in overseeing WIOA funding and performance, including coordination with SBS and DYCD.
• Serve as primary subject matter expert on WIOA.
• Ensure WIOA-funded activity is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and manage Board governance.
• Review policy guidance, advise on changes to laws or policies, and support system WIOA strategy development.
