Job summary

The New York City Mayor’s Office seeks a Senior Advisor and Director of the NYC Workforce Development Board to lead workforce policy and governance. You’ll work with NYC Talent and City partners to align WIOA priorities with local goals and drive program innovations across agencies.

You will oversee board compliance, support interagency collaboration, and help shape strategies for equitable access to good jobs in a dynamic NYC economy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 8+ years in government, public-policy, legal, or intergovernmental affairs with managerial experience.
• Master’s degree is preferred and strongly valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Advisor and Director of the NYC Workforce Development Board with strategic oversight.
• Advise NYC Talent, City leaders, and Board on WIOA policy and program strategy.
• Ensure governance, bylaws, voting, and meeting records are compliant.
• Coordinate with multiple agencies to align workforce development with city priorities.
