Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks an Assistant Vice President, Talent and Leadership Development to lead enterprise talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership readiness. You will coach senior leaders, design scalable development experiences, and drive data-driven talent decisions aligned with strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Talent, you will partner with HR and executive teams to strengthen leadership depth and organizational capability across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience with Hogan assessments or similar leadership tools.
• Executive coaching certifications or training preferred.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven use of talent metrics to guide decisions.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise talent review, calibration, and readiness processes.
• Manage succession planning for executive and senior roles.
• Oversee leadership development programs and coaching initiatives.
• Design scalable leadership experiences and experiential learning.
• Translate talent data into actionable, executive-level insights.
• Partner with external coaches and providers to deliver solutions.
